4. How We Use Your Location
We collect your location only when you actively make a service request — to identify where you are and dispatch the nearest available driver to you. We do not track your location at any other time, and we do not collect background location data.
During an active job, your assigned driver will be able to see your pick-up location. Once the job is complete, your live location is no longer shared with the driver.
Your pick-up and drop-off address history is retained to make future bookings easier and to maintain your job history. You can clear job history by deleting your account under Profile → Edit profile → Delete account, or by contacting support@rekovr.co.uk.
5. What Your Driver Sees
When a driver is assigned to your job, they will see the following information:
- Your first name
- Your pick-up location
- Your vehicle make, model, colour, and registration
- The service type you have requested
Drivers do not see your surname, email address, payment details, or phone number. Any in-app communication between you and your driver is routed through the Rekovr platform.
6. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in the following circumstances:
- Assigned driver: Limited job details as described in Section 5 above
- Stripe: To process payments securely on our behalf
- Google Firebase: To store your account data and job history securely
- Analytics providers: Anonymised, aggregated data only — no personally identifiable information
- Law enforcement or regulators: Where we are legally required or have a lawful basis to do so
All third-party processors are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
